The PA Cavaliers Swim and Dive team recently competed in the VHSL Swim and Dive Regionals, with multiple swimmers placing in the top five and winning several individual events.

Junior Tyler Kaminski was one of the top swimmers for the boys, placing first in the men’s 100 backstroke (59.22) and third in the men’s 100 fly (57.01) events.

On the girls’ side, senior Emma Fuhs placed second in the women’s 200 Individual Medley (2:31.84) and the women’s 100 breaststroke (1:17.60) events.

Coach Jay Smith said that while it was a team effort, it is the individual swimmers who make it possible.

Smith said that after the regional competition, “We did achieve two relays for the boys and two relays for the girls that went on to states, so the idea was to move on and put the best relay together that we could.”
