Hello and welcome to the first edition of PA Food Spots: Do(s) and Don’t(s)! During the next couple of weeks I’ll be reviewing Princess Anne’s top food spots and advising which places you should frequent.
We know how hungry the average high school student can get, especially when they’re surrounded by food everywhere they turn. After a long day at school, sometimes Princess Anne students can’t resist the powerful attraction of some good food. This raises the question: “where should we eat that’s worth both our time and money?” Well lucky for you, a seasoned foodie is going to give the best advice in satisfying your hunger needs.
With Princess Anne located right next to Town Center, there are so many food options to choose from. But, we don’t want a sit-down restaurant sort of meal; we want something quick and affordable. Personally, as a student with no job and pretty much no income, I’d prefer the cheaper option. And if I’m staying back at school, I’m going to want to be in and out quickly. So what are our main options? Well, there’s Chipotle, Crumbl Cookies, Panera, Shake Shack, Domoishi, and Starbucks, so let’s dive into today’s review.
In this week’s edition, I’ll be reviewing my first place pick: Chipotle. The number of times I have stayed back at school with no more than a few dollars and still have gotten a delicious meal at Chipotle are too numerous to count. Whether you’re not that hungry (or in my case can’t afford to be more hungry) or starving after a long day of school or a tiring practice, Chipotle has your back. Seriously, the variety, the flavors, it’s just perfect.
My personal favorite meal has to be the classic burrito bowl. When I’m willing to spend a little more, perhaps with my mother’s money, I will always build a bowl with a bag of chips and queso. I must have the cilantro lime rice with a little of their signature guacamole. However, when the budget is tight, I have to humble myself and get a kids meal. This sounds like a terrible option but honestly, you can’t go wrong at Chipotle. You can get the kids quesadilla or tacos and still be shocked by all the flavors and spices.
Now of course, we can’t forget their house lemonades. There’s the original, Organic Hibiscus, Organic Mandarin Agua Fresca, and Organic Berry Agua Fresca. I have never seen a place with such a variety of lemonades and also with such unique flavors. I seriously would’ve never thought I’d have a hibiscus lemonade but it’s easily a favorite of mine.
Overall, from burritos to salads, chicken to brisket, and Sprite to lemonade, they really do have it all. They absolutely won my heart and earned first place, Chipotle is a definite DO.
Come back soon for the column’s reveal of our second place winner and some more insightful tips from The Page’s most seasoned foodie!
