Senior Logan Williams recalls in first grade looking at the calendar in his father’s checkbook and became interested in determining a pattern with the dates. Unaware of it at the time, this pastime would turn into Williams developing what is now his claim to fame. 

Regularly, Williams both confuses and amazes those around him by correctly identifying the day of the week that a certain date fell/will fall on (Yes, he can do the future too). 

He explains, as if it was common sense, “I started seeing a pattern, and that’s when I figured it all out.”

When asked to state the day of the week that corresponds with a series of eight different dates, Williams passed with flying colors. Ranging from 1532 to 2030, Williams was told a date, thought about it for a second, and then correctly replied with a day of the week. 

Surprisingly, like Williams, sophomore Trevor Darr also possesses this unique date-guessing ability. 

Darr’s approach is less of a natural reaction, as he will repeat the date to himself a few times before answering. 

Clearly, this method is just as effective, as Darr was able to correctly identify February 17, 2003, as a Monday and October 9, 1982, as a Saturday.
