Olivia Dean is a Jamaican-Guyanese English singer and songwriter who began her musical journey at
age eight. Her sound is a blend of pop, R&B, and neo soul, a product of her inspirations which include: Sade, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Carol King, and the Motown era. Her songs “Rein Me In,” “Man I Need,” and “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” have become part of many online trends on platforms such as TikTok.
On Feb. 1, 2026, she won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. This win marks the first time a British artist has won Best New Artist since Dua Lipa in 2019. The title also headlined an eventful year for Dean, as she announced the tour of her sophomore album, The Art of Loving. She gained 32.9 million streams in a single day after her Grammy win and is currently the female artist with the biggest increase in global streams within the last year.
